Hi Doug,
Hellraiser and its evolution (or lack thereof according to some) has always been a huge bone of contention amongst fans, particularly amongst "purist" fans. This is established and is probably why its so hard to find an objective review of "Inferno", "Hellseeker" or "Deader".
Personally, I find all 3 movies to be psychological horror movies of the highest order despite the lack of screen time with Pinhead and the
"betrayal" of the original feeling which seems to be a subject of virtual nervous collapse amongst some idiots who refuse to appreciate the
movies for what they are: i.e. great movies
1) Are you proud of the latter movies?
2) Do you feel they are relevant in terms of the Hellraiser legacy?
3) Do you feel Pinhead is a unique force just in terms of the Hellraiser movies of do you feel this creature is an effective maninfestation outside
of the legacy (as I feel has been proved in the latter movies)
4) Do you feel if Hellraiser was never made and Pinhead turned up for the the first time at the end of "Inferno" it would have been one of the
most unexpected "wow" moments in undeground horror movie history?
Cheers,
Niall
