If this message ends up in the wrong place my humble apologies!
This is to be my last 'Venture to the Valleys' and had hoped that my pilgrimage to Abertoir would end as it had started. Drinking with strangers!! Sooo un-lady like!! I say my last trip but if next year they showed Bride Of Frankenstein, Madlove, and The Devil Rides Out, i`ll be there front row centre, some hope! I had hoped that you would allow me to repay my debt and join me for a 'farewell tipple'. I think that time and horror has moved on. But I haven`t. I am in a small minority who adores Classic Horror in all it`s richness and dark beauty. But alas the festival front that would show these gems are few and far between.
Fellow Abertoir devotees, if you go and see a woman on her lonesome, sobbing into her drink while listening to Wagner, take pity on her. For it is with a heavy heart and a heavy suitcase (meet me half way with the suitcase I am female) that her Saturday night should end that way!!
Is it going to be a hat-trick this year? Ooops! Using a football term may not be a wise move. Although on a fashion note Red is the 'in' colour, especially 'RED SOX'!
Go A.W.O.L.!! I`ll even write you a sick note!!
Booze and a smile, can`t say fairer than that.
Hope you can make it. V.
